West York Block Watch officials are looking for donors to contribute items and money towards the organization's annual "Shop with a Cop" program.

Organizers hope to collect stocking stuffers and food items that will be given to children who participate in the program on Dec. 11, said Ken Welsh, block watch vice president.

In its seventh year, the program, first organized by former West York Police officer Linda Diaz, allows selected children in need to go holiday shopping with a police officer at Target in West Manchester Township.

Children also receive food for a full Christmas dinner.

Checks should be made to the West York Block Watch with "Shop with a Cop" written in the memo section. Checks can be mailed to Welsh at 1623 Monroe St, York, PA 17404, or Connie Leedy at 22 S. Clinton St., York, Pa. 17404.

For more information, call Welsh at 854-0509.
