Connections between Jewish and Chinese communities will be discussed at the Jewish Community Center at 2000 Hollywood Drive in York Township.
The event will be held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday during the center's Second Sunday series.
Liliane Willens, author of "Stateless in Shanghai," will talk about being born in China to Russian Jewish parents who fled the Bolshevik Revolution and about China's collapse under the weight of foreign invaders and civil war.
Attendees also will hear from York College professor Zehao Zhou, who will offer updates on China, his home country. He also advocates for human rights.
The event includes a Kosher-style lunch of Chinese food. The cost is $10. To register, call Linda Seligson at 843-0918.
