The free Raptors Rising - Accipiter Magic program will be offered three times in October at the North Overlook off of the Oak Timbers Parking Area at Rocky Ridge County Park.

Participants can learn how to identify migrating birds of prey and understand why birds migrate.

Hawk watcher Randy Phillips will lead the first session, from 9 a.m. until noon Saturday. The program will be repeated Oct. 20 and Oct. 27 with York County Parks staffer Francis Velazquez and volunteer Phil Keener, respectively, as hosts.

Participants should bring binoculars, a field guide and lawn chairs. No registration is required.
