October's Second Saturday program at the York County Heritage Trust will feature a free presentation on "The History of Presidential Campaign Items" by Ted Hake at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Historical Society Museum, 250 E. Market St., York.

Attendees will learn about the foundations of American politics through past campaign slogans, platforms and sayings preserved through a variety of "political keepsakes." Hake, founder of Hake's Americana & Collectibles, will trace the material history of presidential "advertising" and use historic items to explain the evolution of political marketing and campaigning.
