For several hours Thursday, all tip money collected by bartenders at a York City bar will go toward a good cause.
Holy Hound Taproom, 57 W. Market St., will host the benefit for Stewards of the Lower Susquehanna, a group that supports efforts to clean up the river and Codorus Creek.
Lower Susquehanna Riverkeeper Michael Helfrich, who also serves as a York City Council member, will guest bartend.
Proceeds from sales of Headwaters Pale Ale will also go to the cause. The evening begins at 5 p.m., followed by entertainment from local bands Free Breakfast and Hexbelt Duo from 9 p.m. to midnight.
