The YWCA York will on Friday host a synchronized swimming competition for the 2012 Keystone State Games, a gig it landed for the second year in a row.

The YWCA group York Synchro-ettes will also compete in the competition, which will be held 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the YW, 320 E. Market St. The female athletes will compete in categories such as Solo, Duet, Trio and Team. Medals are awarded to the top three athletes in each division.

The mission of the Keystone State Games is to promote physical fitness and sports activity and create more citizen-sponsored programs of physical fitness and amateur athletic competition.
