Brewing is a declaration to the Pennsylvania Legislature that the people of this Keystone State expect our overwhelming majority will be recognized within the 12 session days left before year's end. The issue is delays in passing Senate Bill 1182, the Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Act.
The declaration will be in the form of a rally on the Harrisburg Capitol steps at 10 a.m. Sept. 15. This will be non-contentious but critical.
I know the legislative proponents speak constantly about the subject (Senators Mike Folmer and Daylin Leach see to that). Speaking as one of the citizen group medically driven towards this debate's resolution, I want to invite the opponents (Representatives Mike Turzai, Matt Baker and Stan Saylor, and Gov. Tom Corbett) to attend. Enter into dialog with the authors of the bill and the citizens who want it, as written. Speak publicly with us before you begin your fall sessions.
