Job well done at nursing home
Many people have preconceived notions about Pleasant Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, thinking it's just the county home where old, poor folks go to die.
Our mother lived more fully in the four months she was there than in the previous five years in assisted living. From the first day she was encouraged to participate in the many daily activities provided, including crafts, games and music. The staff on Main Three was outstanding, especially Karen, Kelly, Leslie and many others.
A favorite part of our mom's day was waiting to go to therapy. The physical, occupational and speech therapists really motivated our mom to regain as much strength and independence as possible.
Often times nursing assistants get overlooked as they complete their very busy shifts. Those on the third floor were friendly and competent even when dealing with challenging residents.
We were very impressed with the CNAs who cared for our mom on her final day (after suffering a severe stroke). They treated her with as much dignity and gentleness as though she was fully aware of her surroundings.
As you can see, there is so much good about Pleasant Acres. If you are in need of skilled nursing and rehab after an accident or surgery, look no further. Pleasant Acres will give you the care you need.
Thanks to all the staff for the care given to our mother.
