Appreciation is extended to the community for the donations and support given to the food pantry and the various programs provided by the Red Lion Area Community Services, Inc.

The pantry provides groceries for nearly 200 client households each month; there are approximately 255 children and 80 seniors within those households.

The annual Christmas Wish List sponsored 175 children with gifts, and a party with Santa was held for about 20 youngsters.

Blankets, hats, scarves and gloves were available throughout the fall and holiday season for anyone who needed those items. Some inventory remains and is available at the office during weekday mornings.

Turkeys and Bags of Blessings were also distributed in November and December to the clients for their holiday meals.

School supplies and backpacks were given in August to more than 150 school children as they returned to their classes.

The Fuel Fund provides assistance to several families in need during the winter months, and, with the extreme conditions this season, the needs are greater than usual. Donations to this program are especially appreciated.

Opportunities are available weekday mornings for volunteers to assist with the clients and the pantry tasks, as well as general housekeeping or simple maintenance. Contact the director at 244-6934.

Work teams are needed for several projects at the facility; non-skilled and skilled labor are needed. Youth teams and Scout teams, families and church or organization groups are welcome to participate.

Tours of the building may be arranged during morning office hours.

Space is available to rent for small group meetings or parties, exercise classes, workshops, etc. Contact the director for more information.

Thank you for your continued generosity and support.
