This year's York Suburban School Board election presents a real choice. The primary goal of two individuals is to reduce taxes, period! They advocate more children in each classroom, fewer professional educators, closing buildings and limiting curriculum choices. When this lowers the quality of education in York Suburban, will the few tax dollars saved cover the drop in property values that will ensue?
The ELECT Team members are individual and independent-thinking candidates connected by a passion for public education in general and York Suburban in particular. Emily Bates, Lynne Leopold-Sharp, Ellen Freireich, and Cathy Shaffer will manage the district with a primary goal of seeking ways to give students an environment best suited to educational needs, while looking for opportunities to be fiscally prudent.
As a Suburban graduate, my husband and I chose to live in this district so that our children would have the same academic opportunities. Since graduation, our sons have gone forward well prepared by their time in YS schools. Many families make the same choice for their children by moving into the district.
To maintain the quality of a York Suburban education, join me in voting for the ELECT Team: Emily Bates, Lynne Leopold-Sharp, Ellen Freireich, and Cathy Shaffer.
