As the events of Washington, D.C., unfolded between Democrats and Republicans, we could all see the need to work together, regardless of party affiliation.
I see positive change for Springettsbury Township with the election of Kathleen Phan and Larry Crumling. Kathleen, a registered Republican working with Larry, a registered Democrat, have stated that this election is not affiliated with any particular political party. This election is about electing two people who are "not politicians" but, rather "concerned citizens," who will bring positive common-sense change for Springettsbury.
Kathleen and Larry have already been quite active at the township board meetings. They have discussed various issues within the township and provided possible solutions to the board. They actively listen to the residents and have no problem expressing their positions on sensitive matters. They will continue to work together, for the residents, while keeping the residents informed with transparency and without their own personal agendas.
We cannot afford to waste this rare opportunity we have been given. Please vote for Phan and Crumling on Tuesday, Nov. 5. Our property taxes, necessary critical services, and so much more depend on this.
