The election for judge of Court of Common Pleas is almost upon us. It is time for the voters to give serious thought to whom they wish to be the next judge.
By serious thought, I mean think with your head, not your heart, who is most qualified to sit on the bench.
One candidate has been in the practice of law for many years and currently serves as a sitting judge.
The other candidate has never practiced law in any meaningful way and has spent little or no time in a courtroom.
One candidate is highly recommended by the York County Bar Association. The other candidate is deemed not qualified by a majority of the Bar.
Both candidates are good, honest men. Both possess integrity and other fine qualities.
If we were to select a candidate on personal character alone it would be a toss-up. The defining difference is experience. This should be the deciding factor in your selection.
Vote with your head, not your heart. Vote for experience. Vote for Michael Flannelly.
