This summer saw flash floods and heat waves across Pennsylvania. Now, a new report from PennEnvironment Research and Policy Center reveals that our power plants are the biggest culprits causing global warming pollution, which scientists warn will bring even worse extreme weather in the future.
PennEnvironment Research and Policy Center's new report, "America's Dirtiest Power Plants," finds that Pennsylvania ranks third in the country for most carbon pollution from its power plants, by far the state's largest single source of global warming pollution.
I urge Pennsylvania leaders like Sen. Bob Casey to support limits on power plants' carbon pollution. Pennsylvania is the third biggest emitter of carbon pollution from the biggest sources. Pennsylvanians can't afford to wait to act on climate, so it's critical that Sen. Casey step up and support action.
