It's time to get things cooking. The 2012 York Fair Culinary Corner competitions are right around the bend.

Many of the fair's classic contests will be returning along with a few new ones, including a pot pie contest and Rutter's Whoopie Pie competition. This year's fair will kick off on Friday, Sept. 7 and will run through Sept. 16.

Below is a list of this year's York Fair contests. Contestants who placed first in any competition last year are not eligible to compete in that particular competition this year.

All contest entries are due Friday, Aug. 24 at 4 p.m. You are not considered registered until all the required paperwork for each competition is turned in to the York Fair office.
