Britain's Prince Harry, the Expedition Patron, arrives for a welcome home news conference for the members of the Walking With The Wounded South Pole Allied Challenge 2013 team, in central London, Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014. The Walking With The Wounded Virgin Money South Pole Allied Challenge 2013 concluded on Friday 13 December, when three teams of wounded servicemen and women successfully reached the South Pole after crossing 200km of Antarctic plateau.
LONDON—Prince Harry has reunited with fellow polar adventurers, who couldn't resist telling the world that his special skill on their Antarctic adventure was latrine construction.
Britain's ginger-haired prince joined the team a press conference Tuesday. The group, which includes a dozen injured servicemen and women from Britain, the United States and Commonwealth countries, trekked hundreds of miles (kilometers) to reach the South Pole on Dec 13.
Fellow trekker Dominic West says Harry specialized in building latrines. The actor, who starred in the television series, "The Wire," says Harry's structure had blocks to keep out the wind—and a holder for the paper.
West wistfully recounted "sitting there, looking at the beautiful view thinking 'this is a royal flush, in every way'."
