The competition: The festival, for dogs of all breeds and sizes, features four aquatic competition events. They include Outdoor Big Air for long jump, Extreme Vertical for high jump and Speed Retrieve for testing canine quickness.
Owners can choose which events their dogs can compete in, or they can sign up for the Iron Dog competition in which their dogs complete in all the events, Rob Moore said.
The Moores said they have two dogs that will be competing in the event. They are Tiny, a 5-year-old male Newfoundland, and Leah, a 3-year-old female Belgian Malinois. The dogs have competed in several
"(The festival) is a very athletic event," Rob Moore said. "Spectators get an adrenaline rush seeing the competition. They get excited and cheer for the dogs."
