Voters in Loganville opted to stick with interim mayor Stephanie Gaultney.
The Republican narrowly beat out Democrat Butch Geller by 11 votes in Tuesday's election, according to unofficial results.
Results show Gaultney received 108 votes to Geller's 97. The council tapped Gaultney earlier this year to serve as interim mayor after longtime mayor Nelson Ahrens died in April. He was 78.
Ahrens was seeking re-election, and his name remained on the primary ballot after he died.
Gaultney previously served on the borough council and was selected by Republicans to be the party's nomination in Tuesday's election.
"I am very flattered," she said at the time. "It was kind of unexpected, but I'm hoping people will feel free to approach me with issues."
