HACC students will incur a small tuition increase next school year.
HACC's board of trustees approved a $180 million budget that included the elimination of a "nominal" number of positions, according to a release, while remaining staff will get a 2 percent wage increase.
The board voted to increase tuition by $3 per credit for sponsored school district students, $6 per credit for all other in-state students and $9 per credit for out-of-state and international students.
The technology fee will increase by $5 to $20 per credit hour.
HACC's tuition and fees for most York County students per semester totals $2,748 this school year for 12 credits, a full-time workload. A $6 per credit tuition increase would mean an extra $72 this fall.
Students who live in a sponsoring district - in York County, that's only West Shore School District - are charged $2,022 for 12 credits this school year.
