The Penn State York baseball team opened its 2013 season with a pair of losses to McDaniel College on Saturday in Westminster, Md.

The local Lions lost the first game 10-0, and did not get a single hit off McDaniel starter Zach Jones, who struck out 12 and walked one in his seven-inning, complete-game effort. PSY starting pitcher Austin. Quinones pitched three innings of hitless, scoreless ball, fanning three and walking one.

The Yorkers collected three hits in a 14-2 loss in the the second game. Rob MacCubbin (one hit, one run), David Fillman (one hit, one run) and Ryan Seibert (one hit, one RBI) led York's offense. Seibert also pitched 1Ò innings of hitless, scoreless relief.
