The York College baseball team capitalized on a huge offensive day to dispatch Capital Athletic Conference newcomer Penn State-Harrisburg 21-4 on Sunday afternoon at Jaquet field. York (10-2, 6-0 CAC) scored its highest single-game run total since recording 24 runs in a 24-5 win over Salisbury on April 7, 2010.

A trio of Spartans finished the day with three hits each, while 12 different players recorded at least one hit. South Western High School graduate Colin Porter went 3-for-6 with a game-high four RBIs and two runs scored. Dallastown grad Derek Pitzer finished 3-for-5 with one RBI and three runs scored. Brad Wenzel went 3-for-3 with three RBIs, one walk and one run scored. PSU-Harrisburg fell to 3-15, 0-6. Dan Gurganus got the win, tossing six innings, giving up two runs on two hits with three strikeouts and two walks.
