For the second straight year, York College women's soccer junior goalkeeper Melanie Glessner has been named to the Capital One Academic All-District 4 Team.

The announcement was made Thursday.

Glessner, who was a National Academic All-American last year, will now be eligible to advance to the 2013 national vote. Glessner has played in and started 16 games for the Spartans, who head into next week's Capital Athletic Conference Tournament as the No. 2 seed. Glessner has played in 1,148 minutes, 28 seconds, in goal. She owns a 0.63 goals-against average with 44 saves and an .846 save percentage. She has notched four full shutouts and been a part of eight team shutouts in 2013.

She ranks third in the CAC in goals-against average. She has allowed just four goals in conference play.
