The York College women's volleyball team snapped a four match losing streak with a 3-1 Capital Athletic Conference win over Penn State Harrisburg on Thursday night in Middletown.
The Spartans improved to 16-14 overall and 3-4 in the conference. The Lions fell to 5-23 and 0-7 in their first season in the league. The match scores were 25-17, 25-19, 23-25, 25-17.
Sophomore Alison Dorsey led the resurgent Spartan offense with 13 kills. Dorsey hit .357 for the match. Freshman Ijeoma Igwe added 12 kills for the Spartans and hit .273. Junior setter Kristin Martinak dished out 40 assists and also had nine digs. Sophomore Cassie Miller paced the Spartans' defensive effort with 16 digs while Katy Graziano and York Catholic High School graduate Brittany Hicks each contributed 14 digs.
