Penn State-Berks walked by the York College Spartans 6-5 in a non-conference baseball contest at Jaquet Field on Thursday in York.
Four Spartan pitchers combined to walk nine batters. The Spartans fell to 20-19 overall while the Lions improved to 11-21.
The game started with a milestone when York senior Dustin Worthman collected his 200th career hit with a single up the middle in the bottom of the first. He becomes the 10th Spartan to reach that career milestone.
York led 5-2 after seven innings but couldn't hold on.
Worthman and Drew Frankenfield powered the Spartan offense with three hits apiece. Frankenfield drove in three and scored another run while Worthman added a run scored and an RBI. Colbe Herr and Jimmy King contributed two hits each to the 14-hit Spartan attack.

YORK COLLEGE'S HARTUNG SEVENTH AT PENN RELAYS: York College's Tim Hartung captured a seventh-place finish in the 5K at the prestigious Penn Relays late Thursday evening. He finished in 14 minutes, 26.58 seconds, less than seven seconds behind first place. Hartung's time breaks the current Capital Athletic Conference and school records in the 5K, which he set last season with a time of 14:39.84.
