The York College baseball team suffered through a disappointing weekend in Salisbury, Md.

The Spartans dropped a 2-1 decision to a strong Sea Gulls outfit on Sunday. That followed 6-3 and 6-2 setbacks at Salisbury on Saturday.

York dropped to 5-7 overall and 0-3 in the Capital Athletic Conference. Salisbury improved to 13-2 and 3-0. Salisbury is ranked No. 6 in NCAA Division III.

On Sunday, York wasted a strong pitching effort from Brad Wenzel, who a hurled a complete-game four-hitter. He allowed just one earned run, struck out eight and walked six.

Colbe Herr had two hits for York, while Andrew Hershey added a hit and an RBI and Dustin Worthman had a hit and a run scored.
