Dover High School graduate Alex Beard has been honored for his cross country exploits at Mansfield University.

Beard, a senior, shared the team's Most Improved Player Award with teammate Will Mullen.

Beard placed 10th at Flatland Invite with a time of 13 minutes, 20.25 seconds. He was 50th at Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships in 27:21.0.
