WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. -- Eastern York High School graduate Andrew Nicholas scored 18 points to help Monmouth University to a 65-60 victory over Lafayette on Monday night.

The 6-foot, 5-inch sophomore finished the game 7-for-18 from the field, including 3-for-8 from 3-point range. He also had five rebounds, three steals and an assist.

For the season, Nicholas is the Hawks' leading scorer, pumping in 15.3 points per game. He's also averaging 4.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.6 steals per game.

Monmouth (4-3) has won three straight games after a 1-3 start.
