The York College women's soccer extended its win streak to three as the Spartans notched a 3-0 non-conference victory over McDaniel on Monday in York.

The Spartans (5-1-3 overall) again used a stifling defense to hold McDaniel (4-3) scoreless, edging the Green Terror with a 14-6 mark in total shots and 8-4 margin in shots on goal. York had a 2-0 advantage in corner kicks.

Sophomore Elizabeth Bunn continued her offensive outburst with her fourth goal in three games when she scored just 1:38 into the contest on an assist from Kayla Kovalsky. It marked Bunn's fifth goal of the year.

York's second goal came when sophomore Traci Mohl took a pass from senior Caitlin Aversa and immediately floated a pin-point pass to a charging Jess Canami, who never broke stride and banged the ball home for her first collegiate goal.

The Spartans closed out the scoring just over seven minutes into the second half. Sophomore Clare Chatham lofted a well-placed corner kick that found the head of senior Tyler Frantz, who drilled the header into the upper-right corner for the goal, her second of the year.

Sophomore goalkeeper Melanie Glessner notched her fourth-straight shutout as she extended her scoreless streak to 455:45. Glessner made four saves to earn the win.
