Shippensburg University sophomore Megan Lundy, a Central York High School graduate, was named the 2014 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Year on Thursday afternoon.

Lundy became the first woman in SU track and field history to earn individual All-America honors in the 400 meters, placing eighth at the 2014 NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships with a time of 56.62 seconds.

In NCAA prelims, Lundy improved her indoor school record at 400 meters with a time of 56.34 seconds.

At the 2014 PSAC Indoor Track and Field Championships, Lundy defended her conference title in the 400 meters (56.45 seconds) and also ran the anchor leg of SU's 4x400-meter relay team that closed the meet with a victory.

Last season, Lundy was named the 2013 PSAC Women's Indoor Freshman of the Year after winning the 400 meters at the conference championships and contributing to the distance medley relay that ran at the NCAA Championships.
