YorkArts has announced the 2014 details of its annual Art in the Park program.
The program, which brings art projects to York City children free of charge during the summer, kicked off this week at the Parkway housing community. This is the program's 21st year.
Each week, YorkArts staff and volunteers will rotate to another area of the city. The program is held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on week nights.
YorkArts will hold Art in the Park at Yorktowne Park from June 30 to July 3, Allen Park from July 7 to July 11, Albemarle Park from July 14 to July 18, Lincoln Park from July 21 to July 25, Penn Park from July 28 to Aug. 1, Wellington housing community from Aug. 4 to Aug. 8 and the Codorus housing community from Aug. 11 to Aug. 15.
The schedule of art projects is as follows: ice cube painting on Mondays, bubble painting on Tuesdays, jellyfish mobile on Wednesdays, "rock buddy" found object painting on Thursdays and print making on Fridays.
