A man shot in York City on Saturday has been released from the hospital.
Marcielle Haley was allegedly shot by former roommate Fahim Sanders, 29, with a last known address in the 100 block of South Hartman Street, over a $30 debt, according to Sanders' charging documents.
Sanders bumped into Haley; another former roommate, Melissa Morehard; and a third person near the intersection of West Market and South Penn streets just before 10 a.m. That's when Morehart reminded Sanders of the outstanding debt, documents state.
York City Police said that's when Sanders pulled a Keltec 9 mm handgun and allegedly shot Haley in his upper back.
Officers were responding to an unrelated call across the street when Haley was shot, so they were immediately able to arrest Sanders, police said.
The gun used in the shooting was reported stolen to Southwestern Regional Police in 2013, documents state.
Sanders is charged with attempted homicide, receiving stolen property, carrying a firearm without a license and reckless endangerment, documents state.
A judge set bail at $500,000 when he was arraigned on the charges.
On Sunday, a York Hospital spokeswoman said Haley had been discharged from the facility.
