Snow removal operations began Sunday night in York City and will continue nightly, Mayor Kim Bracey announced.

All snow will be removed from the curbs, parking meters and sidewalks.

On Monday night, beginning at 7 p.m., the focus will be Market Street between George and Queen streets.

All cars parked in the area must be removed by that time. Traffic will be restricted during this operation and parking restrictions will be in place.

Snow hauling will continue nightly from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. in the downtown meter district, and street closings and parking restrictions will be in place.
