A wildlife art class will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, in the Nature Center at Nixon County Park in Springfield Township. Students will have a chance to use the natural history collection at the Nature Center for reference, as well as other subject matter. Students will receive basic sketching and drawing supplies. York College will host the screening of two films beginning at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6. "All Is Lost," an open-water thriller about one man's battle for survival, will be shown in the Waldner Performing Arts Center. York native Neal Dodson, producer of the film, will answer questions after the screening. "Cafeteria Man," a film the chronicles the effort to "green" the public school diet of students in Baltimore, will be shown in Room 218 of the Humanities Center. Penn State York presents "Blood at the Root," a new drama inspired by the Jena Six at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, at the Pullo Family Performing Arts Center, 1031 Edgecomb Ave. on the Penn State York campus. The Jena Six were six black teenagers convicted in the beating of a white student at Jena High School in Jena, La. This event is free and open to the public. Information: 717-771-4045.
