Last week, Lancaster's James Wolpert had to wait until near the end of The Voice results show to learn he was safe for another week.

Not Tuesday night.

James, a Lampeter-Strasburg grad, was the very first contestant sent to safety.

That means he'll be performing again next week on the Top 8 show of The Voice.

He'll have company from Pennsylvania. The second singer sent to safety was West Chester University student Matthew Schuler of Yardley, Pa.
