A York County man was killed Saturday in a single-vehicle crash in Cumberland County.
Scott Bard Custer, 30, of the Newberry Township area, was pronounced dead at the scene of the Middlesex Township crash, Charley Hall, the Cumberland County coroner, said in a news release.
Custer was driving a motorcycle on South Middlesex Road when he crossed into the opposing lane and went off the road over a large embankment about 7:40 p.m., according to Middlesex Township Police.
Custer, who was the wearing a helmet, was thrown from the motorcycle, police said.
He was the only person on the motorcycle, police said.
Custer died of blunt force trauma, the coroner said. No autopsy is planned.
