A York County Prison inmate committed suicide Wednesday, York County Coroner Barry Bloss said.
Tiombe Carlos, 34, was found unresponsive in her prison cell, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). She was taken to York Hospital and pronounced dead there at 10:10 p.m., ICE stated in a news release.
Carlos was a citizen of Antigua and was in ICE custody, agency said.
She hanged herself in her cell, according to Bloss, who has ruled her death a suicide.
On June 21, a immigration judge ruled that Carlos be deported to Antigua, according to ICE.
ICE will undertake a "comprehensive agency-wide review" of the death, according to the news release.
State police said they also are investigating.
