Old and new

The 44th Greater York Antiques Show has passed into the hands of new management promising the same solid educational experience for buyers and charitable focus on the YMCA of York County. Featuring 85 dealers, the show runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, in Memorial Hall at the York Expo Center, 334 Carlisle Ave., West Manchester Township. Deadpan humor

'We Belong'

Christmas crafts

The York Town Craft Guild's 18th annual Christmas at the Guild features artisan demonstrations and juried, handmade items from paintings and pottery to fiber arts, blown glass, wood turning and more. The show runs noon to 7 p.m. Nov. 7 and 8 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 9 and 10 with raffles and door prizes at the guild, 639 N. Franklin St., Spring Garden Township. Admission and parking are free. Have a taste

The fifth annual Taste of the Valley event runs from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, at the Arthur Hufnagel Public Library, 32 Main St., Glen Rock. The fundraiser features local wines, live music, an art raffle and local appetizers and desserts. Tickets: $30 (includes commemorative wine glass). Kowalczyk alone

New pressings

The annual Wine Just Off the Vine invites aficionados to sample freshly-pressed wines and spirits from 22 wineries and one distillery on the Mason-Dixon Wine Trail. Candy craze

On a mission

The Official Blues Brothers Revue takes the humor and music of the cult classic film and delivers it in a blues, soul and gospel concert at 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at the Pullo Family Performing Arts Center, 1031 Edgecomb Ave. on the Penn State York campus. Go country

Classical competition

Holiday spirit

Jump, jive and wail with the sounds of the season as the Brian Setzer Orchestra's 10th anniversary Christmas Rocks tour stops in York. Hellmouth tradition

The fourth annual Hoots & Hellmouth Black Friday concert swings into York with special guest The Stray Birds for a mix of roots, rock and folk. Christmas Magic

The half-mile walking trail through Rocky Ridge County Park returns at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29, with more than half a million lights in holiday scenes for all ages. Christmas Magic: A Festival of Light runs through Dec. 31, closing only on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, with weeknight hours 6 to 9 p.m. and weekend hours 5 to 9 p.m. Admission: $6-$8.
