Northeastern High School was evacuated at noon because of a bomb threat, Principal Matthew Gay said Monday afternoon.

Northeastern Regional Police swept the school, and no problem was found, Gay said.

Students remained at their evacuation location until school was dismissed.

Superintendent Shawn Minnich said the district will prosecute if the person responsible for the threat is found and will also seek restitution for any costs incurred. Minnich said police had indicated the department would seek restitution for time and resources as well.
