PennDOT will begin a construction project next week along Route 116 in Heidelberg Township.

The $2.4 million project will repair a four-mile section of Route 116 from Jacobs Mills Road in Heidelberg Township to Centennial Avenue in Hanover Borough.

Motorists should watch for single-lane traffic restrictions between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. daily, according to a PennDOT news release.

Construction crews will eventually adjust their schedule to 9 a.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday through Thursday in 2014, the release said.

The work is scheduled to be completed by October 2014, PennDOT said in the release.
