A Dover Township man died when he crashed his ultralight aircraft outside Wellsville on Sunday.

James Wardrop, 80, of Admire Road, was flying his ultralight when it crashed at Shreveport North Airport, 370 Kralltown Road in Washington Township just before 5 p.m. Sunday, according to York County Deputy Coroner Jeffri Goodfellow.

Wardrop was taken to York Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8 p.m. from multiple injuries, Goodfellow said.
