The York Suburban girls' volleyball team took over sole possession of first place in York-Adams Division II on Wednesday night with an impressive 28-26, 25-11, 25-21 sweep of West York.

Both teams came into the game tied for the top spot in the division at 5-1, along with Northeastern, which did not play Wednesday.

Kayla Gibbs led the Trojans with 12 kills and 19 digs. Maura Brehl added 11 kills and 10 digs for the winners, while Morgan Lehman had 10 digs and nine kills. Suburban's Emily Miller contributed 26 assists and seven digs.

For the Bulldogs, Olivia Drawbaugh had 18 assists and seven digs. Also for West York, Alexis Harbold had 17 digs, while Dixie Miller and Shaina Robinett each had five kills.

Suburban won the JV match, 25-12, 20-25, 15-9.

OTHER GIRLS' VOLLEYBALL

SPRING GROVE 3, CENTRAL DAUPHIN 0: At Harrisburg, Brooke Osborne filled the statistics sheet to help the Rockets sweep the Rams, 25-20, 25-20, 27-25. Osborne compiled 30 assists, three digs, two blocks, two aces and one kill. Mia Bennett and Samantha Bollinger combined for 20 Spring Grove kills, and Savannah Yingling made 15 digs. Central Dauphin rallied to win the JV match, 23-25, 25-17, 15-10.
