Children can get an up-close look of the Harley-Davidson York Vehicle Operations facility on Saturday.
The factory, celebrating its 40th year in York, will have free open house and tours Thursday through Saturday, Sept. 21, at 1425 Eden Road in Springettsbury Township.
Open house hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Self-guided tour hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and include areas where Harley-Davidson Softail, Touring, CVO and Trike motorcycles are produced.
Open house and tour attendees can bring their children on Saturday when there is no production work happening, the company said.
In the past, children under age 12 were not allowed to attend the annual factory events because of safety concerns, according to a news release from the company.
During this year's open house and tours, the public can check out Harley-Davidson's newest line of motorcycles, listen to live music, watch a stunt show, buy merchandise from five area dealers and see the first motorcycles made at the York factory.
