Weather conditions permitting, spraying to control adult mosquito populations will be conducted during the evening hours on Monday in Manchester Township, according to a news release from the Penn State Cooperative Extension.

The spray event will be in the residential and commercial areas in the vicinity of North George Street, from Masonic Drive to Emigsville, and along Woodland View Drive to Grim Lane. Samples collected by the state Department of Environmental Protection from this area indicate high mosquito populations that can carry the West Nile virus.

The rain date for this spray event will be Tuesday.
