The annual 50plus EXPO comes to the York Expo Center this week, offering products and services for baby boomers, seniors and caregivers.
The free event Wednesday will have more than 90 exhibitors to provide resources and information intended to encourage healthy and productive lifestyles.
Vendors include Medicare Advantage providers, ADT security services and healthcare providers.
Donna Anderson, the president and CEO at On-Line Publishers Inc., said the event is in demand every year, because it offers baby boomers the chance to learn about resources they will need.
"As the population continues to age, the demand for products and services to keep them healthy is substantial," Anderson said.
Anderson said there will be demonstrations about how to fall without risking larger health problems later at the Falls Free York Coalition exhibit. Seminars about care for arthritis, back pain and diabetes will occur throughout the day.
Rep. Kevin Schreiber, D-York, announced he will be at the expo to provide attendees with information about state programs for seniors.
On-Line Publishers is the host of the expo, and will also provide live entertainment, door prizes and free health screenings. The event will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Expo Center, 334 Carlisle Avenue.
