For the second time in its history, the Manufacturers' Association of South Central Pennsylvania has changed its name.

Mike Smeltzer, executive director, announced Thursday that the organization will now simply be called the Manufacturers' Association.

Its board of directors approved the new name recently, Smeltzer said in a news release.

Manufacturers' Association is a regional employers' organization with more than 350 member companies located within south central Pennsylvania and Northern Maryland.

Found as the Manufacturers' Association of York, Pennsylvania, in 1906, the organization changed its name to the Manufacturers' Association of South Central Pennsylvania in 1989.
