GREENVILLE, Pa.—An autopsy has been scheduled on the body of a 76-year-old man who state police and a district attorney say was found dead at his western Pennsylvania home under suspicious circumstances.

Troopers from the Mercer barracks say Frank Crash was found dead about 9:30 a.m. at his home in Hempfield Township, Mercer County. That's near Greenville, about 70 miles northwest of Pittsburgh. Police say Crash's death doesn't appear to be from natural causes, but they haven't said why.

District Attorney Robert Kochems also says the death appears to be suspicious.

The autopsy was scheduled for Friday in Erie.
