Penn Township Police have charged two men with possession of illegal drugs after allegedly finding large quantities of crystal methamphetamine and cocaine at a Hanover residence.
Assisted by state police and the York County Drug Task Force, township police served a search warrant at 4 Beckmill Road at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday, according to a news release.
They found about $50,000 worth of illegal drugs, police said. They said they also seized a large amount of cash, a BMW, a Lincoln Navigator, a stolen rifle and materials to create fraudulent identification cards. Avelino Cervantes, 36, is charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver and one count each of conspiracy possession with intent to deliver and receiving stolen property, according to court records. His bail was set at $300,000.
Hector Ochoa-Garcia, 31, is charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver and a single count of conspiracy possession with intent to deliver, records indicate.
Ochoa-Garcia is being held in York County Prison on $500,000 bail, according to a prison spokesman.
The men were arrested and taken to Central Booking, according to the news release.
There is no indication at this time that the residence was being used as a meth lab, Hettinger said.
