Two Sunday evening shootings in York City left two people in the hospital and police searching for a suspect.
Police responded to the first shooting in the 600 block of South Pershing Avenue at about 8:35 p.m. Police said they found Eric Samuel, 26, of York, lying on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to the hip.
Police said the incident was a result of a domestic dispute between Samuel, a woman and Nile Deshields, 31, of York, who allegedly shot Samuel.
Deshields turned himself in, police said, and was charged with aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person.
Samuel is in satisfactory condition at York Hospital.
Second shooting: At about 10:15 p.m., city police responded to another shooting, this time at 200 block of South Hartley Street.
Police said they found Lakkreisha Goff, 19, of York, with a superficial gunshot wound to her lower back.
A second woman, Diana Rivera, 45, of York, was hit in the leg by a bullet fragment, according to a police press release.
Goff was treated at York Hospital and discharged. Rivera did not require medical attention, police said.
The suspect was described as a young black man wearing a white tank top and dark pants, the release said, and he fled the scene on foot prior to police arrival.
