Two men were taken to York Hospital by helicopter Sunday morning after their vehicle overturned in Fawn Township, said Jimmy Williams, assistant chief of Fawn Grove's volunteer fire company.

Crews were dispatched to 940 New Park Road around 6:15 a.m., he said. The driver appears to have lost control of the vehicle at Allen Lane, and it traveled 800 to 1,000 feet before hitting a utility pole and a parked vehicle, Williams said.

The driver and front-seat passenger were airlifted to the hospital, and a second passenger was taken by ambulance, he said. State police identified the driver as Carl Ludwig, 21, of Shrewsbury; the front-seat passenger as Jacob Temple, 18, of Shrewsbury; and a second passenger as Collin Gress, 20 of Stewartstown.

As of Monday morning, Temple was in serious condition; no information was available on Ludwig; and Gress had been treated and discharged, according to York Hospital.

Crews from Harford County, Md., and Whiteford, Md., assisted at the crash site, Williams said.
