Harley-Davidson York Vehicle Operations has announced its schedule for summer factory tours.

Through Aug. 24, the Springettsbury Township campus is offering free tours from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.

There is no production on Saturdays.

During the one-hour tours, guests can visit the plant's Vaughn L. Beals Tour Center, sit on current-model Harleys, and learn more about the plant and the company's 110-year history.

The York plant also offers a Steel Toe Tour, which costs $35 and offers a closer look at operations. Those tours are expected to begin Monday, Aug. 19.

Tourists must be at least 12 years old, wear fully enclosed shoes and follow the plant's safety guidelines.
