A Shrewsbury man was arrested the day before July 4 for showing a little too much independence, police said.
When Southern Regional Police officers responded to a domestic dispute call around 5 p.m. in Railroad Borough, William Duvall Jr., 42, took off running into the woods, according to a news release. He was intoxicated and had a warrant for a state parole violation, police said.
After searching for more than an hour, police cornered and arrested Duvall on a steep hill that sloped into a high-traffic area, police said.
Police then took him to central booking and charged him with flight to avoid apprehension, resisting arrest, criminal trespass, harassment, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.
